How lucky we were to be able to travel to Elisabetta Grande in these strange times … How beautiful it is to be in Rome, where love and magic can be felt at every step, in every corner. And how grateful we are to Elisabetta for the beautiful days (always too short) and the opportunity to enjoy her company, her cuisine and happy stories deep into the night … We had the best guide in the world around the city that is magical.
Just before Christmas, puppies were born, 10 beautiful strong and correct puppies (6 male and 4 female). Lucky us!
When we look at the puppies we know imidiately we made a right match!
Finding a male dog with such frontchest and harmonious movement that Romae has is never easy.

ROMAE (Elangeni the places youll go) stood out in the “Place” litter as the perfect match in structure and temperament to meet the expectations of both his Elangeni breeders and his soon to be Italian mother Elisabetta Grande.
This pup cemented a like-minded friendship between Linda Friedland (Elangeni) and Elisabetta first forged in Salzburg at the World Dog Show 2012 where they discovered ringside that they shared a common vision of how a correct Rhodesian Ridgeback should present.
Since his arrival in Italy at 4 months of age, ROMAE has proven himself to be a confident, balanced, harmonious, happy, loving and well rounded example of what exemplifies their shared vision of a strong RR male. ROMAE has honoured and brought great joy to his breeders and owner as he represented Elangeni at dog shows throughout Europe.
ROMAE has been judiciously used as a stud over quality females and his progeny continue to represent him proudly.
ROMAE ANCESTRORS
FLOYD (Ch Elangeni Pink Floyd) was a loving, handsome, upstanding, sweet natured and intelligent dog. He was a well performed and confident show dog.
Floyd’s contribution to the breed as a pre potent stud dog has been well documented through the many titles his progeny have gained throughout the world. Floyd was awarded multiple Most Successful Sire awards At Australian specialty level. His progeny all have his stamp on them and their achievements have contributed to his acknowledgment of being a sire of merit.
ROXY (Elangeni Asu Do) was a beautiful girl inside and out. She lived an exciting active family life with friends and their children and as such was shown sparingly. Roxy’s obvious breed qualities ensured that she would take her rightful place within the Elangeni breeding programme and their
faith in her was richly rewarded.
Roxy’s success as a dam contributed to her being awarded multiple Most Successful Dam awards at Australian Speciality level.
Roxy produced 2 litters, her first from very old frozen Skiska semen produced one pup Elangeni Got Me On My Knees, a female who achieved BISS/ RUBISS/ Australian Championship. Her second and final litter was with Ch Elangeni Pink Floyd and together they produced the “Place” litter. This
outstanding litter produced an Australian Champion as well as Multiple International, Multi titled Champions who are now producing for other breeders.
